Ottomanesque Istanbul

Randomness No.1

After a long break, hi again. The ones who read my latest journal would remember, I had some random ideas. This is the first one: Ottomanesque Istanbul.

Notes:
-The time in the pic is late 1890s and the place is Istanbul, the capital of Ottoman Empire.
-I wanted to draw a detective but he more looks like an assassin lol
-The pistol is Mauser c96. Ottoman Empire was the first costumer of this pistol. Ottoman and German Empires had strong relationship.
-The mosque in the background silhouette is Hagia Sophia. It is one of the symbols of Istanbul, I adore this building. Thanks to Byzantine designers ^_^
-The moon and the star (actually it should be Jupiter or Venus) symbolizes Turkish flag. I love its celestial view. Beautiful, isnt it?
-Believe me, the background took more time to finish. Details were a bit exhaustive.

I tried to apply my style to an oriental theme. I am glad with the result and hope you like too. Enjoy!
